Anthony Shih MD, Chief Quality Officer

Anthony ShihDr. Shih, IPRO’s Chief Quality Officer and Vice President for Strategic Planning, provides executive oversight of the e-services team and serves as its Medical Director.

Dr. Shih joined IPRO in 2001, an has held a variety of executive positions including Vice President of the Health Care Quality Improvement Program, and Medical Director, Managed Care. From 2006-2008, Dr. Shih served as Assistant Vice President for The Commonwealth Fund, a national foundation committed to improving the U.S. healthcare system, where he directed the foundation's largest grant-making program, the Program on Quality Improvement and Efficiency, and provided policy support to the Commonwealth Fund’s Commission on a High Performance Health System. Dr. Shih is nationally recognized for his expertise in quality measurement, quality improvement, health care policy and payment reform.

Dr. Shih is board-certified in public health and preventive medicine, and holds a B.A. in economics from Amherst College, an M.D. from New York University School of Medicine, and an M.P.H. from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Jaz-Michael King, Senior Director

Jaz-Michael KingMr. King is responsible for IPRO's e-business strategy including interactive content and community, business development and promotion. He oversees the Online Services team at IPRO, where he most recently directed the production WhyNotTheBest.org, as well as the New York State Department of Health Hospital Profiles Web site, the New York State Health Accountability Foundation's Health Care Report Card and Joint Effort New York (JENY), IPRO's 8,000 member quality improvement community of practice.

Mr. King has more than a decade's experience creating rich, usable content online, he has consulted for many national Web sites including the Fairchild Publications family of Web sites and other national brands. Prior to joining IPRO Mr. King served as CEO of MerlinWeb, the Internet solutions company he founded in 1996. Overall, Mr. King has consulted on over two hundred Web sites, and is a strong proponent of open source technology in the public sector. He maintains two well-read blogs on the topic of health care transparency and health information technology.

Mr. King has served as co-chair of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services SDPS Web Strategies Workgroup, and serves as judge for the WWW Health Awards.

Martina Dolan MBS, Manager, Online Services

Martina performs hands-on project management, ensuring quality and accuracy of the IPRO and New York State Health Accountability Foundation family of Web sites, with day-to-day responsibility for managing the testing, maintenance, administration and development of enhancements to all managed properties.

Previously Martina worked as sole Web developer/designer for a London-based cancer charity's (CancerBACUP) awarding winning Web site, with responsibility for overall site development and maintenance. She has also worked as a freelance Web developer/designer since 1999.
